Required Information for Consular Authentication Application

The documents intended to be used in China by foreign citizens (including overseas Chinese) should be notarized by a Swiss notary or Office of the State Government , and then authenticated by the Legalization Office of the State Government before being submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. It is compulsory to make appointment with Application Center in advance and submit the application to Application Center during the period of time as you appointed online.

The documents intended to be used in China by Chinese citizens also should be notarized by a Swiss notary or Office of the State Government, and then authenticated by the Legalization Office of the State Government. Then you can directly submit it to the Chinese Consulate General in Zurich during their opening hours or you can submit it to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Zurich. If you choose Application Center to handle it , the service fee will be charged.

Documents of a third country should be authenticated in that country.
